For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on newly formed
Subtropical Storm Alberto, located over the northwestern Caribbean
Sea just east of the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico.

Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 5 days.

Routine issuance of the Tropical Weather Outlook will resume on 1
June.

and under AWIPS header MIATCPAT1.

This Afternoon: NE wind around 20 kt, with gusts as high as 25 kt. Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Seas around 6 ft with occasional seas up to 8 ft. Dominant period 8 seconds.

Tonight: Tropical storm conditions possible. Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 7pm, then showers and thunderstorms after 7pm. Seas 7 ft with occasional seas up to 9 ft building to 10 ft with occasional seas up to 13 ft. Dominant period 5 seconds.

Memorial Day: Tropical storm conditions possible. Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Seas 9 to 10 ft with occasional seas up to 13 ft. Dominant period 6 to 7 seconds.

Monday Night: SW wind 20 to 25 kt, with gusts as high as 35 kt. Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Seas 6 to 8 ft with occasional seas up to 10 ft. Dominant period 6 to 7 seconds.

Tuesday: SW wind 15 to 20 kt. Showers and thunderstorms likely. Seas 7 ft with occasional seas up to 9 ft subsiding to 4 ft with occasional seas up to 5 ft.

Tuesday Night: SSW wind 10 to 15 kt. A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Seas 3 to 4 ft with occasional seas up to 5 ft.

Wednesday: S wind around 10 kt. A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Seas around 3 ft with occasional seas up to 4 ft.

Wednesday Night: S wind around 10 kt. A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Seas 3 to 4 ft with occasional seas up to 5 ft.

Thursday: S wind around 10 kt. A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Seas around 4 ft with occasional seas up to 5 ft.
