For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on newly formed
Subtropical Storm Alberto, located over the northwestern Caribbean
Sea just east of the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico.

Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 5 days.

Routine issuance of the Tropical Weather Outlook will resume on 1
June.

and under AWIPS header MIATCPAT1.
Forecast/Advisories on Alberto are issued under WMO header WTNT21
KNHC and under AWIPS header MIATCMAT1.

This Afternoon: ESE wind around 16 kt. Showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 5pm. Seas around 3 ft with occasional seas up to 4 ft. Dominant period 4 seconds. Intracoastal waters a moderate chop.

Tonight: SE wind 19 to 21 kt. Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Seas 3 to 5 ft with occasional seas up to 6 ft. Dominant period 4 to 6 seconds. Intracoastal waters choppy in exposed areas.

Sunday: S wind 20 to 22 kt. Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Seas around 6 ft with occasional seas up to 8 ft. Dominant period 6 seconds. Intracoastal waters a moderate chop.

Sunday Night: SSE wind 17 to 19 kt. Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Seas 4 to 5 ft with occasional seas up to 6 ft. Dominant period 5 to 6 seconds. Intracoastal waters a light chop.

Memorial Day: S wind around 16 kt. Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Seas around 4 ft with occasional seas up to 5 ft. Intracoastal waters a light chop.

Monday Night: SSE wind around 12 kt. Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Seas 2 to 3 ft with occasional seas up to 4 ft. Intracoastal waters a light chop.

Tuesday: SSE wind around 12 kt. Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Seas around 2 ft. Intracoastal waters a light chop.

Tuesday Night: SSE wind around 10 kt. A chance of showers. Seas 1 to 2 ft. Intracoastal waters a light chop.

Wednesday: SSE wind around 10 kt. A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Seas around 2 ft. Intracoastal waters a light chop.
