For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on newly formed
Subtropical Storm Alberto, located over the northwestern Caribbean
Sea just east of the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico.

Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 5 days.

Routine issuance of the Tropical Weather Outlook will resume on 1
June.

and under AWIPS header MIATCPAT1.
Forecast/Advisories on Alberto are issued under WMO header WTNT21

Overnight: SE wind around 10 kt. A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Seas around 2 ft. Dominant period 6 seconds.

Saturday: ESE wind 10 to 15 kt, with gusts as high as 20 kt. A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7am, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 7am and 1pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Seas 2 to 3 ft with occasional seas up to 4 ft. Dominant period 7 seconds decreasing to 4 seconds.

Saturday Night: SE wind 15 to 20 kt becoming ENE in the evening. Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 1am. Seas around 4 ft with occasional seas up to 5 ft. Dominant period 4 seconds increasing to 7 seconds.

Sunday: Tropical storm conditions possible. Showers and thunderstorms. Seas 5 to 7 ft with occasional seas up to 9 ft. Dominant period 7 to 9 seconds.

Sunday Night: Tropical storm conditions possible. Showers and thunderstorms likely.

Memorial Day: Tropical storm conditions possible. Showers and thunderstorms likely.

Monday Night: SSE wind 20 to 25 kt, with gusts as high as 35 kt. Showers and thunderstorms. Seas 16 ft with occasional seas up to 20 ft subsiding to 9 ft with occasional seas up to 12 ft.

Tuesday: S wind around 20 kt. Showers and thunderstorms likely. Seas 7 to 8 ft with occasional seas up to 10 ft.

Tuesday Night: SSW wind around 15 kt, with gusts as high as 20 kt. Showers and thunderstorms likely. Seas 5 to 6 ft with occasional seas up to 8 ft.
