For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on newly formed
Subtropical Storm Alberto, located over the northwestern Caribbean
Sea just east of the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico.

Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 5 days.

Routine issuance of the Tropical Weather Outlook will resume on 1
June.

and under AWIPS header MIATCPAT1.
Forecast/Advisories on Alberto are issued under WMO header WTNT21

This Afternoon: S wind around 18 kt. Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 4pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4pm. Seas 4 to 5 ft with occasional seas up to 6 ft. Dominant period 8 seconds. Bay and inland waters a light chop.

Tonight: S wind 14 to 16 kt. A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Seas 3 to 4 ft with occasional seas up to 5 ft. Dominant period 8 seconds decreasing to 5 seconds. Bay and inland waters a light chop.

Memorial Day: S wind around 16 kt. Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Seas around 3 ft with occasional seas up to 4 ft. Dominant period 5 seconds. Bay and inland waters a light chop.

Monday Night: S wind 13 to 15 kt. A chance of showers. Seas around 3 ft with occasional seas up to 4 ft. Dominant period 5 seconds. Bay and inland waters a light chop.

Tuesday: S wind around 12 kt. Showers likely, with thunderstorms also possible after 1pm. Seas 2 to 3 ft with occasional seas up to 4 ft. Bay and inland waters a light chop.

Tuesday Night: SSE wind 8 to 10 kt. A chance of showers. Seas around 2 ft. Bay and inland waters a light chop.

Wednesday: SSE wind 5 to 7 kt becoming SSW in the afternoon. A chance of showers. Seas around 2 ft. Bay and inland waters smooth.

Wednesday Night: Variable winds 5 kt or less. A chance of showers. Seas around 1 ft. Bay and inland waters smooth.

Thursday: SE wind around 6 kt becoming SSW in the afternoon. A chance of showers. Seas around 1 ft. Bay and inland waters smooth.
