Synopsis: HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE WEST ATLANTIC WILL GENERATE A GENTLE TO MODERATE SOUTHEAST BREEZE THROUGH MONDAY. A FRONTAL TROUGH WILL MOVE OFF THE EASTERN SEABOARD EARLY IN THE WEEK THAT WILL PUSH THE RIDGE TO THE EAST AND GENERATE A MORE SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST BREEZE ACROSS THE LOCAL WATERS. MOISTURE WILL INCREASE AHEAD OF THE TROUGH AND BRING A CHANCE FOR OFFSHORE MOVING THUNDERSTORMS THROUGH THE FIRST HALF OF THE UPCOMING WORK WEEK.

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Subtropical
Storm Alex, located a few hundred miles south-southwest of the
Azores.

Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 5 days.

Routine issuance of the Tropical Weather Outlook will resume on
June 1, 2016. During the off-season, Special Tropical Weather
Outlooks will be issued as conditions warrant.
