Synopsis: HIGH PRESSURE WILL SHIFT FROM THE SOUTHEAST STATES TOWARD THE CAROLINAS TONIGHT WITH NORTH TO NORTHEAST WINDS BECOMING ONSHORE BY SATURDAY MORNING. THIS WILL CONTINUE HAZARDOUS SEAS TONIGHT ACROSS THE ATLANTIC WATERS. AFTER A BRIEF RESPITE ON SATURDAY...ANOTHER SURGE OF STRONG NORTHWEST WINDS WILL SPREAD OVER THE WATERS SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY BEHIND A DEVELOPING EAST COAST GALE.


Tonight: ENE wind around 10 kt. A slight chance of showers after 3am. Seas around 3 ft.

Saturday: ENE wind around 10 kt. A chance of showers, mainly after 7am. Seas around 3 ft.

Saturday Night: NNE wind 5 to 10 kt becoming WNW 10 to 15 kt after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 20 kt. Showers likely, mainly before 1am. Seas around 3 ft.

Sunday: NW wind 15 to 20 kt, with gusts as high as 25 kt. Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing. Seas 3 to 4 ft.

Sunday Night: WNW wind 10 to 15 kt. Clear. Seas around 3 ft.

Monday: NW wind 10 to 15 kt becoming W in the afternoon. Sunny. Seas around 3 ft.

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Subtropical
Storm Alex, located a few hundred miles south-southwest of the
Azores.

Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 5 days.

Routine issuance of the Tropical Weather Outlook will resume on
June 1, 2016. During the off-season, Special Tropical Weather
Outlooks will be issued as conditions warrant.
