Synopsis: An approaching cold front will bring increased chances of showers with a few thunderstorms through Tuesday night. The front is forecast to move across the area by Wednesday morning, bringing a north to northwest of around 20 kts. This would also cause seas to build in the Gulf to 7 to 9 feet in the Gulf, and around 7 feet in the Gulf Stream. Gulf waters are forecast to improve beginning Thursday morning, and the Atlantic Thursday night.


Overnight: S wind 7 to 9 kt. A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Seas around 2 ft. Dominant period 4 to 5 seconds. Intracoastal waters smooth becoming a light chop.

Tuesday: SSE wind 8 to 10 kt. Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Seas around 2 ft. Dominant period 4 seconds. Intracoastal waters a light chop.

Tuesday Night: S wind 5 to 9 kt becoming SW after midnight. Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 8pm, then showers likely between 8pm and 11pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 11pm. Seas around 1 ft. Dominant period 3 to 4 seconds. Intracoastal waters a light chop becoming smooth.

Wednesday: NNW wind 8 to 14 kt. Showers likely, mainly after 2pm. Seas around 1 ft. Dominant period 3 to 5 seconds. Intracoastal waters a light chop.

Wednesday Night: N wind around 15 kt. Showers likely before 8pm. Seas around 2 ft. Intracoastal waters a light chop.

Thursday: N wind around 17 kt. Mostly sunny. Seas around 3 ft with occasional seas up to 4 ft. Intracoastal waters a light chop.

Thursday Night: NE wind 11 to 15 kt. Partly cloudy. Seas 2 to 3 ft with occasional seas up to 4 ft. Intracoastal waters a moderate chop.

Friday: NE wind around 12 kt. Mostly sunny. Seas around 2 ft. Intracoastal waters a light chop.

Friday Night: ENE wind 10 to 13 kt. A chance of showers. Seas around 3 ft with occasional seas up to 4 ft. Intracoastal waters a moderate chop becoming a light chop.
