Synopsis: HIGH PRESSURE WILL REMAIN OVER THE REGION THROUGH FRIDAY. A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE SOUTH THROUGH THE WATERS FRIDAY NIGHT AND EARLY SATURDAY. AS THE FRONT MOVE SOUTH WINDS WILL SHIFT TO THE NORTHWEST AND NORTH AND INCREASE TOWARD CAUTIONARY LEVELS...WITH SOME HAZARDOUS BOATING CONDITIONS DEVELOPING FOR SMALL CRAFT OPERATORS. WINDS WILL REMAIN ELEVATED AND VEER INTO THE NORTHEAST AND EAST ON SUNDAY AS STRONG SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS IN OVER THE MID ATLANTIC COAST. LIGHTER WINDS WILL BRIEFLY RETURN TO THE WATERS EARLY ON MONDAY AS THE HIGH WEAKENS AND SHIFT EAST INTO THE ATLANTIC. WIND AND SEAS WILL INCREASE MONDAY NIGHT INTO TUESDAY AS A STRONG COLD FRONT APPROACHES AND MOVES SOUTH THROUGH THE WATERS WITH MORE HAZARDOUS BOATING CONDITIONS DEVELOPING.
Tonight: Variable winds 5 kt or less. Mostly clear. Seas 1 ft or less.

Friday: SSW wind 5 to 12 kt becoming WSW in the afternoon. Sunny. Seas 1 ft or less.

Friday Night: WSW wind 5 to 7 kt becoming WNW after midnight. A slight chance of showers after 1am. Seas 1 ft or less.

Saturday: NNW wind 7 to 10 kt. Sunny. Seas 1 ft or less.

Saturday Night: NNE wind around 9 kt. Clear. Seas 1 ft or less.

Sunday: E wind 8 to 14 kt, with gusts as high as 20 kt. Sunny. Seas 1 ft or less.

Storm Alex, located a few hundred miles south-southwest of the
Azores.

Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 5 days.

Routine issuance of the Tropical Weather Outlook will resume on
June 1, 2016. During the off-season, Special Tropical Weather
Outlooks will be issued as conditions warrant.
