Synopsis: Atlantic High pressure ridge will settle over the waters through Wednesday then shift south of the waters later in the week as low pressure trough pushes into the Carolinas.
Overnight: S wind 6 to 9 kt. Mostly clear. Seas 1 ft or less.

Tuesday: SSW wind 5 to 11 kt becoming SE in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 17 kt. Sunny. Seas 1 ft or less.

Tuesday Night: S wind 5 to 10 kt. Partly cloudy. Seas 1 ft or less.

Wednesday: SW wind 5 to 10 kt becoming SSE in the afternoon. A chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Seas 1 ft or less.

Wednesday Night: S wind 5 to 9 kt becoming SW after midnight. A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2am, then a slight chance of showers. Seas 1 ft or less.

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

Surface observations and WSR-88D Doppler radar data indicate that
a surface trough associated with a mid- and upper-level low
pressure system has remained stationary near the Texas coast during
the day. This system continues to produce a widespread area of
cloudiness and disorganized showers and thunderstorms, accompanied
by strong gusty winds, over the northwestern Gulf of Mexico. Heavy
rainfall and flash flooding across portions of southern and
southeastern Texas are likely to continue during the next few days.
