Synopsis: A slow moving cold front over central Georgia will move through the coastal waters tonight. Strong high pressure will build quickly overnight, resulting in an abrupt increase in northeasterly winds Thursday morning hours and subsequent Small Craft Advisory conditions through early Friday. High pressure will then move off the Mid- Atlantic coast and will weaken on Friday, with onshore winds and seas gradually diminishing. A strong cold front will then move across our region on Saturday night, with northwesterly winds strengthening after midnight. Onshore winds will quickly develop in the wake of this frontal passage as strong high pressure builds into the Carolinas on Sunday.


This Afternoon: SE wind around 8 kt. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Seas 1 ft or less.

Tonight: SE wind around 6 kt becoming variable and less than 5 kt in the evening. A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 7pm and 10pm. Seas 1 ft or less.

Thursday: NE wind 7 to 16 kt, with gusts as high as 24 kt. A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Seas 1 ft or less.

Thursday Night: NE wind 12 to 16 kt, with gusts as high as 24 kt. A chance of showers, mainly after 2am. Seas 1 ft or less.

Friday: ENE wind around 12 kt, with gusts as high as 18 kt. A chance of showers. Seas 1 ft or less.

Friday Night: E wind 5 to 10 kt becoming SSE after midnight. A slight chance of showers. Seas 1 ft or less.

Saturday: SSW wind around 6 kt. A chance of showers. Seas 1 ft or less.

Saturday Night: SW wind 5 to 10 kt becoming NW after midnight. A chance of showers. Seas 1 ft or less.

Sunday: NNE wind 13 to 15 kt, with gusts as high as 23 kt. Partly sunny. Seas 1 ft or less.
