Synopsis: HIGH PRESSURE ACROSS THE MARINE AREA WILL SHIFT EAST OF THE AREA ON FRIDAY. OFFSHORE WINDS WILL INCREASE ON FRIDAY NIGHT BEHIND A DRY COLD FRONT. WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN BELOW CAUTIONARY LEVELS BEHIND THIS FRONT. THE NEXT STORM SYSTEM WILL APPROACH THE REGION ON MONDAY EVENING.
Today: SW wind 5 to 10 kt increasing to 10 to 15 kt in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 kt. Sunny. Seas 1 to 3 ft with occasional seas up to 4 ft. Dominant period 4 to 5 seconds.

Tonight: SW wind 10 to 15 kt. Partly cloudy. Seas around 3 ft with occasional seas up to 4 ft. Dominant period 5 to 6 seconds.

Friday: WSW wind 10 to 15 kt, with gusts as high as 20 kt. Mostly sunny. Seas around 3 ft with occasional seas up to 4 ft. Dominant period 5 to 6 seconds.

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Subtropical
Storm Alex, located a few hundred miles south-southwest of the
Azores.

Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 5 days.

Routine issuance of the Tropical Weather Outlook will resume on
June 1, 2016. During the off-season, Special Tropical Weather
Outlooks will be issued as conditions warrant.
