Synopsis: The Atlantic high pressure to the north and a weak low pressure trough offshore southwest Florida will combine to produce increasing east to southeast flow through Memorial Day, along with poor boating conditions. Deep moisture will overspread the area from the south and produce a high coverage of rain and storms Monday into Tuesday, with locally gusty winds and higher seas near storms. The Atlantic ridge will rebuild over the southeast U.S. coast from mid to late week.


Overnight: ESE wind around 10 kt. A chance of showers. Seas around 3 ft.

Memorial Day: ESE wind 10 to 15 kt, with gusts as high as 20 kt. A chance of showers, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 8am. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Seas around 3 ft.

Monday Night: E wind 10 to 15 kt, with gusts as high as 25 kt. Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Seas 3 to 4 ft.

Tuesday: SSE wind around 10 kt. Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Seas 2 to 3 ft.

Tuesday Night: S wind 5 to 10 kt. A chance of showers. Seas around 2 ft.

Wednesday: SSW wind 5 to 10 kt becoming SE in the afternoon. Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Seas around 2 ft.

Wednesday Night: SSE wind 5 to 10 kt. A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Seas 1 ft or less.

Depression One, located over the western Atlantic Ocean off the
east-central coast of Florida.

Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 5 days.

Routine issuance of the Tropical Weather Outlook will resume on
June 1, 2020. Until then, Special Tropical Weather Outlooks will
be issued as conditions warrant.
