Synopsis: The Atlantic ridge axis will rebuild across the waters into this weekend providing marginally favorable boating conditions. A weakening frontal boundary will cross the waters early Monday forcing the ridge axis southward. Behind the front, high pressure will build in across the Mid-Atlantic states, providing a period of freshening onshore flow and poor to hazardous winds and seas early next week. Winds and seas will be locally higher near afternoon and evening showers and storms moving offshore the next several days.


This Afternoon: ESE wind around 10 kt. A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Seas around 2 ft.

Tonight: SE wind 5 to 10 kt. A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Seas around 2 ft.

Saturday: SSW wind 5 to 10 kt becoming SE in the afternoon. A slight chance of showers, then showers and thunderstorms likely after 8am. Seas around 2 ft.

Saturday Night: Variable winds 5 kt or less. A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11pm. Seas around 2 ft.

Sunday: Variable winds 5 kt or less. A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Seas around 2 ft.

Sunday Night: Variable winds 5 kt or less. A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11pm. Seas around 2 ft.

Monday: NE wind 5 to 15 kt. A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Seas 2 to 3 ft.

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

Special Tropical Weather Outlook issued to discuss the area of low
pressure over the central Atlantic.

A broad area of low pressure appears to be developing over the
central Atlantic Ocean several hundred miles east-southeast of
Bermuda. This disturbance is producing a large area of showers and
thunderstorms and gusty winds. Additional development of this
system is possible, and a subtropical depression could form tonight
or on Saturday as it moves generally northward. Development is not
expected after that time due to unfavorable environmental
conditions. The next Special Tropical Weather Outlook will be
issued by 9 PM EDT today, or earlier if necessary.
