Synopsis: WINDS WILL GRADUALLY DIMINISH THIS AFTERNOON AS HIGH PRESSURE MOVES NEARER TO THE MARINE AREA. THE SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY CONTINUES THROUGH LATE THIS AFTERNOON. HIGH PRESSURE WILL REMAIN OVER OR NEAR THE MARINE AREA THROUGH FRIDAY BEFORE A DRY COLD FRONT MOVES THROUGH THE WATERS...RESULTING IN AN INCREASE IN OFFSHORE WINDS TO NEAR CAUTIONARY LEVELS.


Today: WNW wind 10 to 15 kt. Sunny. Seas 1 ft or less. Dominant period 2 seconds.

Tonight: WNW wind 5 to 10 kt becoming variable and less than 5 kt in the evening. Clear. Seas 1 ft or less. Dominant period 2 seconds increasing to 5 seconds.

Thursday: Variable winds less than 5 kt becoming SSW 5 to 10 kt in the morning. Sunny. Seas 1 ft or less. Dominant period 4 seconds.

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Subtropical
Storm Alex, located a few hundred miles south-southwest of the
Azores.

Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 5 days.

Routine issuance of the Tropical Weather Outlook will resume on
June 1, 2016. During the off-season, Special Tropical Weather
Outlooks will be issued as conditions warrant.
