For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

A large area of cloudiness and showers over the central tropical
Atlantic Ocean is associated with a surface trough.  This trough is
expected to move slowly northward over the next few days into an
area where environmental conditions are forecast to be more
conducive for development. A tropical or subtropical depression
could form over the weekend while the system turns westward well to
the northeast of the Lesser Antilles.

SYNOPSIS

A coastal trough will linger over the local waters through tonight
as high pressure builds north of the region. Strengthening onshore
flow is expected Wednesday as a warm front begins to lift up the
Florida peninsula. An area of low pressure will cross the region
Thursday through Friday and bring widespread rainfall and waves of
thunderstorms. Offshore flow will develop trailing a cold frontal
passage late Friday. High pressure will build west of the region
this weekend, continuing westerly flow.
