The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical
Storm Nestor, located over the central Gulf of Mexico.

Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 5 days.

Public Advisories on Nestor are issued under WMO header WTNT31 KNHC
and under AWIPS header MIATCPAT1.  Forecast/Advisories on Nestor are
issued under WMO header WTNT21 KNHC and under AWIPS header

Tonight: Tropical storm conditions expected. Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Seas 6 ft with occasional seas up to 8 ft building to 14 ft with occasional seas up to 18 ft. Dominant period 6 seconds increasing to 11 seconds.

Saturday: Tropical storm conditions possible. Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 1pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Seas 10 ft with occasional seas up to 13 ft subsiding to 6 ft with occasional seas up to 8 ft. Dominant period 8 to 10 seconds.

Saturday Night: NNW wind 10 to 15 kt becoming NNE 5 to 10 kt after midnight. A slight chance of showers before 1am. Seas 3 to 5 ft with occasional seas up to 6 ft. Dominant period 7 to 8 seconds.

Sunday: NE wind 5 to 10 kt becoming S in the afternoon. Sunny. Seas 2 to 3 ft with occasional seas up to 4 ft. Dominant period 7 seconds.

Sunday Night: S wind 5 to 10 kt. Mostly clear. Seas around 2 ft.

Monday: S wind 10 to 15 kt. Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 1pm. Seas 2 to 3 ft with occasional seas up to 4 ft.

Monday Night: S wind 10 to 15 kt becoming SW after midnight. Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 1am. Seas around 3 ft with occasional seas up to 4 ft.

Tuesday: W wind around 15 kt becoming N in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 kt. Showers and thunderstorms likely. Seas around 3 ft with occasional seas up to 4 ft.

Tuesday Night: N wind around 15 kt. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Seas around 3 ft with occasional seas up to 4 ft.
