For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

An area of low pressure located inland over northeastern Georgia is 
producing a large area of showers and heavy rain over portions of 
the southeastern U.S. The low is expected to move generally 
northeastward toward the coast of the Carolinas and the mid-Atlantic 
states and some development of this system is possible later this 
week if it moves over water. Regardless of development, the low is 
forecast to produce locally heavy rainfall that could cause flash 
flooding across portions of the southeastern U.S. during the next 
couple of days.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...40 percent.

Today: Variable winds less than 5 kt becoming SE 5 to 8 kt in the afternoon. A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 11am. Seas 1 ft or less. Dominant period 2 seconds. Intracoastal waters smooth becoming a light chop.

Tonight: SSE wind around 6 kt becoming variable and less than 5 kt in the evening. A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11pm, then a slight chance of showers between 11pm and 1am. Seas around 1 ft. Dominant period 2 to 4 seconds. Intracoastal waters smooth.

Wednesday: Variable winds less than 5 kt becoming SSE 5 to 8 kt in the afternoon. A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 10am. Seas around 1 ft. Dominant period 2 seconds. Intracoastal waters smooth.

Wednesday Night: SSW wind around 6 kt becoming variable and less than 5 kt after midnight. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2am. Seas around 1 ft. Dominant period 2 seconds. Intracoastal waters smooth.

Thursday: Variable winds less than 5 kt becoming SSE 5 to 8 kt in the afternoon. A chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Seas 1 ft or less. Intracoastal waters smooth.

Thursday Night: SW wind 6 to 8 kt. A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 8pm. Seas around 1 ft. Intracoastal waters smooth.

Friday: Variable winds less than 5 kt becoming SSE 5 to 8 kt in the afternoon. A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Seas 1 ft or less. Intracoastal waters smooth.

Friday Night: SW wind 6 to 9 kt. A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Seas around 1 ft. Intracoastal waters a light chop becoming smooth.

Saturday: SW wind 5 to 10 kt becoming S in the afternoon. A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Seas around 1 ft. Intracoastal waters smooth becoming a light chop.
