For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:

An area of low pressure located inland over northeastern Georgia is 
producing a large area of showers and heavy rain over portions of 
the southeastern U.S. The low is expected to move generally 
northeastward toward the coast of the Carolinas and the mid-Atlantic 
states and some development of this system is possible later this 
week if it moves over water. Regardless of development, the low is 
forecast to produce locally heavy rainfall that could cause flash 
flooding across portions of the southeastern U.S. during the next 
couple of days.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...40 percent.

Tonight: Variable winds 5 kt or less. A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 4am, then a chance of showers between 4am and 5am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5am. Seas around 1 ft. Dominant period 2 to 4 seconds. Intracoastal waters smooth.

Wednesday: Variable winds less than 5 kt becoming SSE 5 to 7 kt in the afternoon. A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 9am. Seas around 1 ft. Dominant period 2 seconds. Intracoastal waters smooth.

Wednesday Night: S wind 5 to 7 kt. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2am. Seas around 1 ft. Dominant period 2 seconds. Intracoastal waters smooth.

Thursday: Variable winds less than 5 kt becoming SSE 5 to 7 kt in the afternoon. A chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Seas around 1 ft. Intracoastal waters smooth.

Thursday Night: S wind 7 to 9 kt. A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 2am. Seas around 1 ft. Intracoastal waters a light chop becoming smooth.

Friday: Variable winds less than 5 kt becoming S 5 to 8 kt in the afternoon. A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Seas around 1 ft. Intracoastal waters smooth.

Friday Night: SW wind around 9 kt. A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Seas around 1 ft. Intracoastal waters a light chop becoming smooth.

Saturday: SW wind 5 to 10 kt becoming S in the afternoon. A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Seas around 1 ft. Intracoastal waters smooth becoming a light chop.
