Synopsis: Tropical storm force winds and high seas are expected starting late today and continuing into Saturday. Seas could reach 20 feet offshore of the panhandle with seas of 10 to 15 feet expected in Apalachee Bay. Conditions will improve by Saturday night with light winds and diminishing seas on Sunday and Monday. Winds and seas are expected to increase somewhat ahead of an approaching cold front on Monday night into Tuesday.


Today: E wind 10 to 15 kt, with gusts as high as 20 kt. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7am, then a chance of showers between 7am and 1pm, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 1pm. Seas 1 ft or less.

Tonight: Tropical storm conditions possible. Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Seas 1 ft or less.

Saturday: Tropical storm conditions expected. Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 1pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Seas 1 ft or less.

Saturday Night: N wind 5 to 10 kt. A slight chance of showers before 1am. Seas 1 ft or less.

Sunday: Variable winds 5 kt or less. Sunny. Seas 1 ft or less.

Sunday Night: Variable winds 5 kt or less. Mostly clear. Seas 1 ft or less.

Monday: SE wind 5 to 10 kt becoming S in the afternoon. A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1pm. Seas 1 ft or less.

Monday Night: S wind around 10 kt becoming SW after midnight. Showers and thunderstorms likely. Seas 1 ft or less.
